We’ve chosen four types of traveler profiles and put together some suggested Languedoc itinerary points for each, giving us something to dream about for a next vacation:
Luxury – A combination of luxury accommodations and restaurants will please the traveler who likes the finer things in life:
- Stay among the vines at places like Gerard Bertrand’s Chateau L’Hospitalet in La Clape (below) or Chateau Haut Gléon in Durban.
- Le Domaine d’Auriac is a multi-star hotel just outside of the historic city of Carcassonne (pictured below) and also includes Michelin-starred restaurant Bernard Rigaudis.
- If it’s a larger metropolis you prefer, the Domaine de Verchant in Montpellier will be up your alley.
- Other Michelin-starred restaurants to seek out: La Cooperative in Perpignan, La Barbacane in Carcassonne (below), or La Coquerie in Sète.
